About The artist

Dylan Frier is a Tampa, Florida based illustrator whose work explores storytelling through cinematic composition and emotionally driven imagery. Drawing inspiration from film, narrative art, and personal themes of memory, growth, and identity, his work often blends realism with symbolic and conceptual elements.

His practice centers on visual storytelling, creating moments that feel like fragments of a larger narrative. Whether through character driven scenes or surreal compositions, his work invites viewers to interpret and connect with layered meanings beneath the surface.

Dylan has received multiple awards for his work, including three Gold and four Silver ADDY Awards, with recognition at the district level. His work has also been exhibited in student showcases and competitions.

He is currently completing his Associate of Arts degree and Graphic Design certification at Hillsborough Community College, and will attend Ringling College of Art and Design in Fall 2026, where he will pursue a B.F.A. in Illustration.

“I chose illustration because it is the clearest way I know how to think. Stories have shaped the way I see the world, and drawing is how I respond to that. When I illustrate, I’m not just making an image, I’m building a narrative someone else can step into.”
